An Introduction To This Class:

SuperTeacherMan

Citizenship focuses on basic concepts and principles of the American political system. This class covers the structure and function of the American system of government, the roles and responsibilities of citizen participation in the political process, and the relationship of the individual to the law and the legal system. This class stresses critical analysis of public issues while integrating and reinforcing social studies skills.

WEEKLY ASSIGNMENT

MONDAY:
In order for you to have some background understanding of what we will be discussing in class this week, you will answer the all of the section review questions in the chapter and turn them in by the end of class.

TUESDAY:
We will discuss the chapter so that you understand the material.

WEDNESDAY:
We will finish discussing the chapter and then you will have a reviewsheet to complete and turn in. A copy of the reviewsheet is in the Media Center at school and on the internet.

THURSDAY:
We will discuss current events today by watching Headline News. Class participation in the discussions is expected.

FRIDAY:
You will have a test today covering the material in the chapter.
